K Art Glory, a global art agency established to promote Korean sensibilities to the world stage, announced on the 8th that it will exclusively unveil Kim Soon-gyeom’s series of “Missing Beyond Memory.”

Kim Soon-gyeom, who is currently actively engaged in creative activities on Jeju Island, is building his own art world that combines traditional and modern aesthetics under the motto of “The most Korean is the most global.”

According to K-Art Glory, it is a brand established to convey deeper emotional empathy and emotion to audiences around the world who love Korean tradition and art, and has served as a medium for connecting artists and works and as a window for conveying the aesthetic value of Korean contemporary art. In addition, Kim Soon-gyeom said that as an exclusive artist of K-Art Glory, he is constantly attracting attention by drawing communication with the audience based on his solid conceptual ability and insight of the times.

The series of “Missing Beyond Memory” series, which is being presented, is characterized by the use of canola flowers as the main motif, with Bangjja-gi(brass boul) as the main object. “The canola flower is a symbolic flower that reminds me of warm memories such as spring, newlyweds, families, and children,” the artist said. “I felt that the image, which is harmonized with Jeju’s nature, was very appropriate to express “Missing Beyond Memory.”

The “Missing Beyond Memory” series contains emotional messages that stimulate emotions and nostalgia in Korean collective memories. The main attraction of visitors who have appreciated the work is the strong sense of immersion and empathy felt in the combination of traditional materials and modern expression techniques.

“Artist Kim is a communicative artist who melts historical and social contexts into his work and shares meaning with the audience,” a critic said. “Even at this moment, it is creating an important flow of Korean contemporary art.”

Meanwhile, K-Art Glory plans to expand communication with more visitors through online content, as well as planning exhibitions at home and abroad, focusing on the works of Kim Soon-gyeom.
